Wow guys, you actually are poets! I got some really great ones, and some that really made me crack up. Here, for your pleasure, are the hilarious sonnets:
Why I liked it: This one really embodied the community and also went along with the llama story. I'd give this one five out of five llamas.
Creativity and community,
is DeviantART's very soul,
Where there is art, there's opporitunity,
to unite artisans, young and ol',
but something was missing, NO! not a foal,
Cria, a llama! Is what we need!,
A comment without one,contains a hole,
The llama, for which our hearts bleed,
Our savior, our icon, our mighty steed,
Llamas, llamas! We demand,
And though most have agreed,
Some, clueless, do not understand,
And where, again, do these creatures call home?,
DeviantART, where llamas roam.</i>
Why I liked it: This one was just plain hilarious! "I must admit / I think it's the jizz of gods" was arguably one of the funniest things I've read all day.
O Llama why do you spit o so foul?
Is it the careless jet of rotten grit?
Or could it be just a failing jowl?
Failing jaws--that must be it, why you spit!
I do not know, some just don't give a whit
Yes I want it on my face, slime-green chow
Hit me hard, hit me wet, I must admit
I think it's the jizz of gods. Then now,
Maybe you spit to clear your throat, that's how
You talk business; Please get out of my way!
Pale, plump woman, silly kids at the show
They're lucky to feel this delicate spray
Keep your goodies close, and fear something gross
Shut your mouth or receive a lethal dose</i>
Why I liked it: Such a classy little sonnet! Lovely background story of the llama. I'm all for it!
When the animals could talk
There was a tiny little llama
Who, barely able to walk,
Had to deal with all the drama
Of his father, and his mama.
He just wanted to move on
To prevent a further trauma,
So one day before dawn
(Wearing nothing but a frown)
His journey was about to start.
He looked around with a yawn
And saw an add: deviantART!
Who knew after all this time
Lemontea would make him shine?</i>
Why I liked it: It's an interesting story about the everyday life of the llama. Always nice to know a little more about these beautiful creatures!
"Oh!," the mourning llama cries,
as he is wand'ring on the hilltop,
"i can't get these damned flies
to my rear-end biting stop!"
a pinch! a poke! a llama hop!
"if there's one thing i can't stand,
it's insects that use my blood to sop
my blood onto their bread so bland!"
a yelp! a cry! a llama flop!
"but wait until they see what i have planned!"
on wide, wide mouth a smile spanned.
i'll use my tail to crush those beasts,
a machine on my rear much like an extra hand,
with it i'll swat and swish and end their feasts!
so swish and swoosh , a wagging llama tail,
"now that was a plan i KNEW would not fail!" </i>
Thanks for all the entries! I really loved them. You guys are geniuses! I could never pull that off!
